There are several ways to say “Hello” on Russian language. I will tell you about the most popular ones.
- Привет – Very popular word but very informal. It’s a good way to geet members of your family or your friends. Some people can also make up different forms from this word: “Приветик”, “Приветики”, “Приветы”, “Прива”, “Приветище”
- Здравствуй / Здравствуйтe – First one sound formal, but with ending “те” it’s sounds even more formal, because become plural and we using it for talk to people who we don’t know and who older then we for show our respect.
Pronouns are words that can replace names. For example: I, you, he, she, him, her, it. In Russian languages we have 8 personal pronouns which chenges depend on case. Let’s start from pronouns in Nominative Case:
“Вы” is used as the formal singular “you”, and the plural “you” when talking to more than one person.
